Everyone can be reached at any time. Corporations and their advertising are ubiquitous. Software is still glitchy. But these dystopian elements are minor compared to Darl’s real problems his dealings with his mother (a famous star), her sisters (the Aunt pack) and a few of his ex-girlfriends who can read his mind. His family makes Darl grateful that Aunts Aren’t Spacemen.

This book is the most charming and funny science fiction novel I have every read. It is a "comedy of manners" set in a future of prosperity - sort of "cyberprep" if you like. "Houses" are aircraft and space ships, racing yachts are spaceships, etc.The best comparison is "Jeeves and Wooster" in the far future, but, unlike Bertie Wooster, our hero is not frivolous to point of idiocy. It is great story.
